HDD Question

Hello.

 

I have Seagate 4TB HDD , it shows 2 Disks in CMD <diskpart> one is 2047.98GB and another one 1678.01GB , i want to have only 1 Disk with 4TB space.

 

any helps?

Have you partitioned the drive?

you can delete volumes (this will delete all data in there) on the drive and create one big volume

You can use partition manager software with nice visual interface to combine the two partitions together into a single one. 

 

The drive may have been formatted like that to make it compatible with FAT32 which supports 2 TB partitions ... if that's the case, both partitions would have to be converted to NTFS.

 

Try Macrium Reflect (free for personal use) or others can suggest alternatives. 

 

You won't get 4 TB , you'll get 4,000,000,000 bytes / 1024 / 1024 = ~ 3814 MB at most, and the file system will reserve a few mb for internal needs.

that's not volume. i delete volume but there still 2 DISK's showing
