My first build plan, any advice?

Here is the link to my pcpartpicker:

My goal is 1440p 144 Hz gaming with RTX in some games, flight sims, video editing, CAD, and other stuff. I'm going with Intel because I can get a 50-60% discount. I know that the 11900K draws a lot of power but I plan to disable AVX-512 in the BIOS. I plan on using this computer for like 7-8 years, maybe updating the GPU once or something.

is the 10900k better for this because of the extra 2 cores and 4 threads? also good deal on those monitors. i run a single 144hz 1440p panel myself and i got mine for $290 and that was because it was black friday. when and how do you plan to build this with the current market?

I was considering that, but I feel that I don't really need it. I think that having PCIe gen 4 connectivity and all the newer tech would matter more to me than that.

Yeah, those monitors seem like a good deal to me as well!

As for how I plan on building - the CPUs won't be too hard for me to get, but as for the GPU I'm either going to try and get it from the Best Buy drops, or I'll use the iGPU, since I've seen for the games I play it can give me at least 60 fps. I currently play on a MacBook Air using GeForce NOW, so it won't be too much of a downgrade for me. I might also just continue my GeForce NOW subscription until I can get a GPU as well.

i see your reasons, and based on benchmarks i think the 11900k has faster cores as well, including beating the 10900k (while overclocked) in some scenarios. i think pcie gen 4 will work out good for u, but keep trying for that 3080! if it means anything best buy i think is the best site because prices are a lot more stable and they drop often. i was actually able to get my 3060 ti from there.
