XRP to ETH

When buying crypto on Moonpay XRP has a $2.99 total while ETH has a total fee of $9.45. Won't it make sense and be cheaper to just buy XRP then transfer it to my Ledger then use the exchange on Ledger Live to swap XRP to ETH?

Probably not. Ledger Live will charge fees for the service and I think you also still pay ETH transaction fees from Changelly (the service they use to swap). They aren't very transparent about it though, so you may have to just try it out and see.
