New chair

Hi guys!

 

I have a IKEA desk chair and i'm not very happy with it. The arm rests can't be adjusted so i get pain in my shoulders..

 

What is a chair that you reccomend and maybe use yourself. Please keep the price under $230.

I don't get it, why does the arm rests cause you pain in the shoulders? you must not be sitting right or your desk/keyboard is at the wrong height for you.

 

and for the chair I use, I got it from Argos last year http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6172846.htm but what you might need is back support.

 

If your arm support is the real problem then remove them from the chair

Well, i'm tall and have long arm so when i sit at my desk i have my elbows in the arm rests but they are pretty high. Do you know what i'm saying?

Can't say I've ever been pleased with cheaper chairs, especially non-adjustable ones. Currently use a Steelcase Leap, a great chair, but pretty far out of your price range. I'd probably be looking at something like this - adjustable arm rests, slight recline - but I've never personally sat in one. Only chairs I've been satisfied with have come from Herman Miller, Rohde & Grahl, and Steelcase. It's the price jump that's hard to stomach.
