3 Months ago i purchased a ~20$ Usb Wifi Key (Archer T3U). It worked very well until recently, it is randomly disconnecting for no apparent reason. I tried everything i could like changing the EEE standard, reinstalling the driver, using another driver recommended on their official website, literally COOLING it with a laptop air vacuum cooler, trying another USB port etc. It is still making me randomly disconnect. I'm about to loose my cool at this point.

So basically my question is : Do you have any recommendation for a good USB Wifi Key which is stable and around 20-30$?
Criteria :
- Dual Band
- Long life and stable (No random discconect or extremely rare, for a lifespan more than 8 months)
- Don't tell me to install a wifi card, i can't right now no need to ask more details about it
- As long as it is not too huge and take only one Usb3.0 slot without covering another port is fine
- Price at most 35$
- Support connection over 300mbps

If any of you are regular wifi key users, feel free to tell me your personal ones, even if it goes overbudget. I'm insterested about what you are all using to not have any issues with them.

Thanks in advance.

Well we are just trying to save you money. Because you buy a USB adapter then you will be back here because it stopped working. USB adapters have bad antenna designs and have a tendency to overheat. The overheating is what causes most of the issues as it will drop the connection. From what I have read the WiFi 5 chipset ran hot, which is why many of the PCIe cards had heatsinks.

If you decide to still buy a USB adapter I wouldn't spend too much on it, because it will end up becoming useless in the end.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
