as hard as it is to say... the 11400f is the better buy, especially is you arent going to upgrade. The 3600xr could be upgraded (maximum) to a 5950x, but the 11400f is much faster.

You'll get about 10% more gaming performance on average with the 11400F at 1080p. It's the better deal atm.

Funny how it changed. Now Intel has the budget market and AMD is dominating on the high end 😅

Thank you for your insight guys!

I weighed my choices and concluded that it's more economical to build the Intel system cos I don't plan on upgrading my CPU anymore. I'm guessing, say 5-7 years from now, several CPU architectures would've been done by AMD and Intel by then, so I really would have to change my motherboard and RAM eventually, right??

Hi!

I'm looking to build a system here in the Philippines with a budget of US$ 650 to US$ 700 (without a GPU in the costing cause I'll be using an old one while waiting for the prices to go back to normal.)

So far, I have the following as my choices:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT
MSI MAG B550M Mortar Wifi (AM4)

CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO WHITE 16GB DUAL DDR4 3200MHZ

Intel Core i5 11400F
ASUS TUF GAMING B560M PLUS WIFI
T-FORCE DELTA RGB TUF 16GB DUAL DDR4 3200MHZ

The AMD system is US$ 50 higher than the Intel system.

I'd like to ask for your opinions as to which system is better in the long run (since I don't plan on upgrading anything soon, aside from the GPU).

My primary uses would be for gaming, and hopefully with a bit of streaming on the side.

Thanks in advance for your help! :D

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Yeah, ddr5 on amd is next year, and am5 will Come with it. Intel alder lake will use a new socket as well.

Hi, it's me again.

Local stores have started to run out of the F variant of the 11400.

Is it wort spending an additional US$ 30 for the non-F variant for the 11400?

Hi!

Update: I got my system already 😄 Thanks for all your help!

I wanted to ask if these data are okay?

I'm using Intel's stock cooler for now, and will hopefully switch to a tower air cooler in a few months.

Thanks in advance!!!

that all looks fine except for the one negative value on the cpu temps but thats probably just a software side error and its nothing to worry about.

Hi!

I have 5 screenshots here of my temps:

1) Before gaming (30 mins after starting the pc)
2) In-game (1 hour after starting)
3) In-game (2 hours after starting)

4) In-game (3 hours after starting)

5) After (30 mins after ending the game)

The game I was running was valorant.

Is it normal to peak at 100℃ on the stock intel cooler?
