Recommendations for camera

What's a good camera for photography. I know this is a generic question but don't really have any qualifications. I'm looking for a camera to start learning about photography. Video taking is not as important to me but will probably use it as a webcam. Asking my friends they'll be bias and say to get their camera so wanted to take a shot here. Budget is probably around 600 without the lenses.

whats your total, budget?
often better to spend more on your lens than on the camera

XT-200, A6100 and a handful of pansonic offers. I don't like the m50 too many limits
You could also go with a t6i, t7i, SL2, SL3, 70D/80D/90D/77D

my issue with the SL3 as an SL2 owner is the grip is tiny, I reach for my older 60d because the grip is better and its got more buttons.
the SL3 has some hidden amazing video out features but you'd need to get an atomos Ninja V to use them
