What is the best laptop under a grand that has good battery life and has a ryzen 7 I already have a gaming pc do I don't need a graphics card I will be mainly using it for coding projects and video editing so possibly a relatively colour accurate screen but I edit in 1080p.  After covid I will travel a lot so it will need to be portable and have a good battery life. Ideally 5th gen Ryzen but 4th gen would probably be fine

what screen size would you prefer?

The HP Envy line is pretty good all around and has great battery life. and if you don't mind upgrading the storage yourself, pretty good value.
