I have a laptop with no hdd and a desktop with 2 hdd. Can I use a ethernet cable to boot laptop from desktop's hdd by installing windows in other hdd of desktop. I have network boot option in my laptop bios. Or can I map a drive over network with read&write permission and available for all. Will I be able to boot the laptop from network boot. And what will be the performance to expect.

I've gotten PXE/iPXE Network Boot working on select hardware and as mentioned the process is very involved. It's not something you can just Plug'n'Play.

If you need the laptop to work you can run something like Ubuntu from USB. Otherwise you will have a much easier time just picking up a inexpensive 2.5" drive.
