I've just build my system and i'm not sure if my readings are correct, but i think the temperature is a bit high for a idle load. Specs:

-i7-4770k (not overclocked)

-ASUS Z87-PLUS

-WD 1Tb Caviar Blue

-Samsung EVO 120Gb

-Kingston HyperX 2x8Gb 1600MHz

-OCZ Fatal1ty 750w

-H100i

-No Graphics Card (Yet)

On idle at the BIOS on performance mode: 39°-43°C (ambient - around 27°C). Is that correct? Is the block not making full contact with the chip?

Also, but a little off topic, my BIOS is reading my memory as 1333MHz even though i set XMP profile.

What are your load temps? Those are more important.

Well, sorry for the long time for reply. First: thanks for answer my call for help. Well, let's get to buisness.
I really don't know what happened: at idle my CPU was registering 45°C on a 27°C ambient and after i modded the backplate (as my motherboard is ASUS, the backplate is a little loose, enough for not making good contact with the CPU) the temps remained the same. Weird. However, after leaving it on for a couple of minutes, it stabilised! Really, WTF.

What are your load temps? Those are more important.

It's giving me 29°C at idle, 64°C at Aida64 and 77°C at Prime95, so my problem is solved. But is the temp on Prime95 correct or it's heating up a little bit more than it should? Also, the CPU is NOT overclocked. In the same subject, my BIOS or All Suite 3 keeps changing the clock speed to 4.3GHz as target speed. Is there anything to do so it won't clock up during the stress tests besides uninstalling All Suite 3? For the tests i had to unistall it and change the BIOS to default.

I get lower temps at idle and under 100% load on my 3770K @ 4.5GHZ on air.  My idle temps sit around 30C and sometimes as low as 26C, and under 100% with the OC I get 70C.  It's possibly the thermal paste is messed up, or you just installed it incorrectly.
