You would need something that can at least run the game,  I have a friend who recently built a Minecraft server for his college dorm and the cheapest he could get the machine to be able to run the server and run it well was bout $500. I don't know how much cheaper you could get it but I'd say not much. You don't have to have a server specific computer either. If your budget is that low and you only need space for 4 people maybe just rent a server or use Minecraft Realms, Realms is actually pretty cool and super cheap and easy to setup.

That's a >15 year old P4 era machine with only 1GB RAM. A Raspberry Pi 4 would almost be more powerful...

That thing is so bad whatever PC you can play the game on is faster. It's even slower than a desktop Core 2 Duo...

This will not work, that's an old, old, old server. Uses original DDR ram, only has 1GB. This thing would probably barely run minesweeper let alone host a Minecraft server.

Look if you can find some used Optiplex like those that are proposed as based for really low cost builds, you might get lucky...

What are you even using to play the game? You may not need a seperate server at all.
