Port forwarding for MC server not working.

Hello everyone

 

I've been trying to set up a small modded server on my computer to play with some friends. I have set port forwarding in my router ,as they need to connect from outside my network. But every time they try and log in, they can't. I have checked the IPs and port and they seemed ok. Also had a friend that is more savvy helping me and they couldn't ping my router from their computer. 

 

We have tried:

-a different mc server

-checked if Java was a allowed through windows firewall

 

My router is a TP-link Archer AX73 connected to a Huawei Echolife HG8121H OPN in bridge mode.

I don't know much about networking in general, so any help would be appreciated!

Manually enable UDP 25565 in windows firewall and check if your internet IP does not start with 10 or 100.

Yeah, probably Windows/third party software Firewall blocking it.

I did add the rule to inbound section of the firewall. Still no change

My internet IP does start with 100

Then you're SOL, sorry. Your ISP is using NAT on their end, nothing you do will allow ports through.

That means your ISP most likely has CGNAT enabled for your connection. Your options are either calling the ISP up and asking if they allow all upcoming data to your IP address or getting a static IP address (which is almost always not free).
