Posted April 10, 2021 Budget (including currency): 5K USD, but I'd like to keep it below 4K. Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Heavily modded Factorio, and a fairly large amount of hobby programming. I'd also like it to render 3D well. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm probably going to buy this >1 year from now, but I'm planning ahead. I only plan for 1 monitor. I need a monitor, keyboard, webcam, and mic. I plan to upgrade because I want a powerful desktop, but my current laptop will suffice plenty for now. I will be purchasing Windows, although I'm considering buying Pro. This is my parts list at present. The choice I'm most seeking help with is my case. Posted April 11, 2021 With a budget that high your probably gonna want to get the newest generation of components. It would probably be best to wait about a few months before your gonna buy something to figure out what your gonna get. Also who knows that the GPU situation will be at that point in time, depending if you can get a GPU at msrp or not will change a lot.
 Yes, I would get a 3080 or a 6800 xt with that budget; and a 5800x or 5900x, or the Intel equivalents of those. Also, your cooler cant handle such high- performance chips. Get a big air cooler or an AIO. kinguin.net sells Windows 10 keys for $40, just saying. Gaming PC: CPU- Intel Core i5-10400 (planning to upgrade when Alder Lake releases) CPU Cooler- be quiet!
