My PSU made a loud popping sound when I plugged the cable in the outlet (PC was turned off when it happened) Then I tried to boot the PC and everything blacked out, and the PSU started to smell like it just got burned. Called a guy a few hours later, he opened the PSU and said one of the capacitors blew up. What are the chances that the other PC components got damaged in the process?

There is no way of telling such, you'll just have to try.

Full specs of your PC, including make and model of your PSU (so not "80+ bronze 500W"), please?

It's a pretty low budget PC, and I bought the PSU in a local store, it has no brand or model attached to it.

CPU: Ryzen 3 3200g

Motherboard: MSI 450M Pro Max

RAM: 8GB (dual channel 2400mhz)

HDD: Toshiba 500Gb 7200 RPM

No GPU.
