Nextcloud/FreeNAS Mounting Points

This, this is my final FreeNAS and Nextcloud post.

So I've gotten to the point of NextCloud and FreeNAS working together but I can only use the destination of /iocage/jails/NextCloud/root/media/

I have user folders setup and that's where all my data is, is there a way to use a different destination than /media/ or is there a way to make a folder in /media/?

Whenever I try to make a folder in /media/ through Windows I don't have permission, is there a way to make a folder within /media/ via something like nano in shell?

That's what it's set as right now but I want to make it so I can add /mnt/ActualNAS/banana or something to that extent to a destination that's readable by NextCloud.

 

If any more information is needed, I can provide.

Normally you don't want to edit nextcloud data outside of nextcloud. What is your goal here? If you want to add files to nextcloud, doing it with nextcloud.

My goal is to get existing data and user folders to mount to NextCloud.

^ that screenshot allows me to read and write from /ActualNAS/frank but not /ActualNAS/banana

I want to be able to use the data that's already on my NAS.

Then id copy the data to the nextcloud interface, or mount nextcloud via webdav from the normal share to nextcloud

 

But if its user folders on the localnetwork, id just use smb and it intergrates and works much better in windows.

Ill just symlink the folder to nextcloud home dir.
