I was just curious how many are actually looking to upgrade their video card.

I had managed to find a evga 3080 FTW3 (non clown mouth version) for $1400 CAD and upgrade from a 1070.

I'm glad I got my 2080 Super before all this happened. The wife's rig is also good with a GTX 1070 so I won't have to worry for awhile.

I actually got lucky with my 1070 a few years back! My 970 had actually died, so I was forced into console gaming for a few weeks. I was just causally browsing Offerup at the time and found a trade ad for a 1070. The guy apparently didn't like his gaming PC and wanted to go back to console, so I traded my xbox plus games and came out with a EVGA SC 1070 🙂

Im still on my "new" rx 480 4gb. Planned to upgrade a long time ago, but stuff happened and i got scammed on the new GPU. This one still works "fine". It can handle most things OK, but something it really likes to do is to crash. It can happen 0-5 times a day, but ive been really lucky the last 2 weeks, since i havent experienced any kind of crash.

It will hopefully work til i can get my hands on a new GPU. If it somehow dies before that, i still have a backup r9 270x i can use.

I should also mention,  I was able to sell my old 1070 strix card for $400 CAD, which kind of offset how much extra I had to pay.

Waiting for the new parts (platform change) to be delivered (5600X based).

For now, the GTX970 will have to do overtime ^^'

I considered buying a vanilla 2060, but not really the kind of uplift I wanted, especially for 500 EUR.

I am now decided I want an MSRP 3070 or 6800XT.

It might be a long wait.

Missed my opportunity on VAG drop 1, waiting for the next AMD one.

A 3070Ti FE would be a good thing too.

...To be continued. (cue funk music)

Got a 3080 in December. It's been a little wonky lately so I'm concerned. Trying to score another to upgrade my wife's system. On a waiting list on EVGA.
