Literally depends on everything. Do you need portability? Do you need upgradeability? So many factors. I think I'm not alone in saying that an all in one is probably the worst but in general everything depends and there is no "best" option

all in one pc is something you will regret forever, not portable, not powerful, nor cheap.

Gaming Desktop - The most powerful and flexible option, zero portability, the cheapest and the most upgradeable, easy to repair.

Gaming Laptop - The weakest option, the most portable one,the most expensive, lacks upgradability, more difficult to repair.

All in one PC - Expensive,,lacks upgradability and more difficult to repair.

This is not necessarily true, a snall ITX build paired with a small keyboard and 17 inch monitor is pretty darn portable

Gaming PC is generally also going to be a good all arounder. There's exceptions of course, but if it's good enough for high performance gaming, it's most likely going to be good enough for anything else you want to throw at it.

Gaming laptops are great for portability, but not great for much else. You're always going to pay more for equivalent specs, and the performance will always be worse than a gaming PC with equivalent specs because of power and thermal limits.

All in one PCs are great art pieces, but subpar computers. You get the lower specs, lower performance, and higher price of a laptop with none of the portability. You also trade upgradeability, including of the display itself.

It's portable enough to easily move once a week, but moving it from place to place all day? - That's a nope.

You have to carry a monitor,a keyboard,a mouse,a computer and all of the cables associated with each one of them.

This is true, as a student it would be hell. I guess when I thought of portable it was a bit of a loose definition. You are right
