CNC PCB Milling Machine Suggestions

I am an Electronic Engineer, and while I have experience working with larger PCB etching machines. Due to the pandemic, I have not had access to my lab for several months and while breadboards and strip boards are fine, I would prefer to design and manufacture my own PCBs from home. 

 

I have no experience with Desktop CNC milling machines being used for PCB creation. While I know it can be done using copper blanks, I am not aware of respectable brands for desktop mills. So if any suggestions can be given I would be very greatful. 

 

My budget is £500 for now but can go to £1000 if needed. Links for the UK would be appreciated. Thanks

I personally went for a DIY model to get proper milling dimensions (I'm also working with wood) while keeping the cost lower than most commercial solutions.
I've also heard that the Sainsmart Genmitsu 3018 was a quite popular option for those kind of use cases but I've not tested myself.
 

If you want to go down the DIY road, you might want to take a look at the Ivan Miranda CNC (schematics are not free though).
I attached some pics of the finished build. Please note that this relies heavily on 3D printed parts and they may also be quite expensive if you do not have a 3D printer on hand.
