My Specs:

Ryzen 7 5800x

GTX 1660 (will upgrade)

G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB 3200mhz

Asus ROG STRIX B550 Gaming - F

Corsair RMX 850w PSU

Sabrent 1tb Rocket NVME

Sabrent Rocket Q 2tb NVME

I noticed a weird discoloration on the AM4 Socket and I was wondering if anyone could clarify why it looks this way. I hoping that everything is fine and that it isn’t a huge deal but I would like to be reassured. I would really love some insight into this matter.

I have also returned my CPU because it was defective. Could this have caused any issues? I only used the CPU for about a week.

I don't see anything wrong in that picture. Looks like dust to me.

As long as the shape is good, you got nothing to worry about.

I would not use this board,  looks like the plastic is disintegrating or something  -- unless this is really just dust  -- which i doubt cause it's only on certain parts...

Is this board new? Then I'd definitely RMA it.
