Hello new friends! I'm having difficulty in figuring out something. So I have the ASUS Rog Maximus HERO XII (WIFI) Board along with the ASUS Rog Helios case. In total I have 15 USB ports. All of them get power because I can charge my phone in them but none of them will let me use a mouse, keyboard, or headphone USB. I have a asus Rog Thor 1200 watt PSU so I know I have more than enough power. I've made sure my drivers are updated, updated my bios, re installed windows. Replaced my CMOS battery. Checked all of my power cables. I can not figure out what is wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Other hardware includes:

128Gbs of Trident Z Royal Ram 3600Mhz

Intel i9-10900k CPU

970 Evo Plus m.2 1tb

Intel 660P m.2 1tb

2TB Baracuda HDD

2TB Firecuda SSHD

ASUS ROG Strix 2080

ASUS Rog Ryugin 360MM AIO

Thats it I think.

My bios version is 2004 for the motherboard. Please HALP

Are your USB devices wireless?

Are thumb drives working?

btw. the latest BIOS you have installed is BETA (meaning unstable).

That one is meant for the 11000 series processors

Did you have that issue before upgrading the BIOS as well?

Does the keyboard work in BIOS but not in Windows or is it dead in general?

Thumb drives don't work.

My mouse and keyboard are wired my headphones are wireless.

This problem was happening even before I updated the bios.

I can use my mouse and keyboard if I use a USB hub in the USB BIOS port on the back of the pc.

Can you send a link for the version of the bios I need?

ASUS had a similar issue on X99 I believe. It was an unstable BIOS that caused all the ports to stop working.

Before contacting ASUS, try carefully removing the CPU and check for damaged pins on the motherboard.

Also try fully discharging the board:

1. Shutdown the computer

2. shut the PSU off using the switch if it has one

3. remove the power cable

4. remove the CMOS battery

5. hit the power button several times

6. put the CMOS battery back in and plug the power cable into the psu and turn it on

7. disconnect all other plugged in devices except for the keyboard

8. start the computer using the power button
