The welcome screen appears when you initially setup the device, which only occurs when the device is new from factory or when it has been reset.

Don't install apps that "may be useful" unless the person you're selling to has specifically requested them. If they don't want them - which it's quite likely they won't - then you've only caused them unnecessary bother removing them.

I should add that you should never sell a device on without factory resetting, as you never know what personal information could have been left there by mistake.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

I am running a custom version of android and some google apps are not included for obvious reasons.

So i must installed it beacuse they are "essential apps"

Is whoever you're selling to aware of this predicament?

A less tech-savvy user probably shouldn't be buying a device with a custom ROM on it, and surely a more tech-savvy user would be capable of installing the google apps themselves.

Anyway, as I've said already, I don't think there's any way to do what you're asking on the device itself. If you have access to a PC then you might be able to do it with the ADB; see this Stack Exchange post - however you will probably then lose it on device reboot.

Alternatively, you might have luck factory resetting and then installing apps over the ADB before going through the setup procedure, but I imagine there's something to prevent that.

Since you have installed a custom rom (android version), it is better to install the necessary apps through recovery (most cases TWRP). Then, even if you factory reset the device, the apps will be still there (or you can install the apps through recovery after factory resetting it without booting into the device). If it only google apps you want, I suggest you look into GApps
