Go XLR plus amp?

Go to solution Solved by rice guru,

since you already have it thats kind of up to you. plug the amp into the go XLR and see the sound adn amplification difference between the 2 and this way you can also see the DAC difference and determine whether it's worth or not yourself.

I recently go t a go xlr and I love it. I know its not the most necessary thing in the world, but I'm happy with it's feratures. Here's my question. I use Sennheiser 6xx headphones, and I have an old dac and amp combo that I used before getting the go xlr. I know the go xlr has a built in dac already, but I do want to know if it's worth still using my amp using a 3.5 mill jack to stereo audio cable. If not, cool. Means I have more desk space and able to sell the dac amp combo for more. If it is, then I'll do it. Thoughts? Thanks in advanced.

I have a Schiits audio Magni amp.

The cable... has a dac? Are you going to buy a new amp?

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

No sorry. Miss worded that. I meant the go xlr has a dac. i want to know if using the amp through the headphone port on the go xlr is worth it/even possible. I now realize that it might not work due to the built in dac on the go xlr not working like that......
