Adobe Media Encoder not Utilizing GPU

Go to solution Solved by SupaKomputa,

Hardware encoding can be wonky, update the gpu drivers, or use older drivers.

Hello,

Adobe Media Encoder is not using my GPU while encoding videos (GPU is idle, CPU is maxed). Yes, the renderer is set to Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA). I came across this thread here, but the video linked 1) is from 2014, and 2) deals with Premiere Pro, not Media Encoder.

Thanks

I know this was solved already but you may also want to give Voukoder a try. It's basically an FFMpeg renderer for Adobe Media Encoder, Premiere Pro and After Effects. I find it does a way better job than Adobe's default renderers. It also supports GPU acceleration and NVenc encoding.
