It certainly isn't as fun for me as Diablo II was.  There is a lot of point and click pointlessness that isn't as good as being fun to do as Diablo II was.

Reaper of Souls came out though a few days ago and I bought it.  I've only played about 10 minutes so far, but from what I can tell the new updates to the loot system and difficulty system have improved the gameplay a bit.  You don't spend 10 minutes trying to kill a major boss only to have him drop loot that your character can't use anymore.  It's been improved.

In the end, if you can find a good deal on it, go ahead and pick it up.

BTW, you buy it on battle.net.

Oh.. lol, thanks!

That G2A link is cheaper but redirects to the DLC, search for Diablo III in the search bar on their site https://www.g2a.com.  Change the currency at the top right and make sure you get a Global or EU key.

Yeah, D3 blew chunks when it came out. (was very bad) and now with the changes especially if you haven't played before it's fucking awesome. Buy it.

I played it on my sisters account when it came out, played once thru and had no desire to play it again. I bought it 50% off for $20 recently to play with a friend and its pretty good now.

I bought it right away and played for about 6 months and got sick of it because of loot system and AH. Now with all the changes it is FAN FUCKING TASTIC! It is the way it should have been, you actually have to find your gear or trade for it instead of buying on AH. You can actually find good gear and legendarys often now.

The new adventure mode looks amazing and it's a way to keep things going for end game. I think it is worth the buy I started playing 4 days ago and didn't realize they made the changes even. When I started playing I was blown away with the changes. It is a actual Diablo game now.

i brought it at release but the constant server issues and the need to be always online killed it. additionally the auction house sorta killed the feel of it too.

I would agree get instead Torchlight 2

Its all about those volumetric clouds

The auction house has been removed as of march 18th, and the servers are pretty stable now (still sucks that you always have to be connected but the D3 connection is better then torchlight when you do play TL2 online).
