PSU recommendations new build

jumbojosh

Hello,

I am trying to decide on which PSU to get.  There are too many choice and too much junk out there it seems!  I am checking part picker and also the PSU Tier list on here, and every time i find one i like i read scary revives on amazon/new egg about them frying people's components.

Can anyone recommend a good PSU?

Im looking for a fully modular one, around 500 to 700 watts, gold standard, and most importantly one that will not fry all my new components lol.

Here is my build details:  Ive ran wattage calculators which estimate ill need just under ~300W so im going for 500 - 700watt range (sweet spot i feel is 650W)

Ryzen 5600X

Thermaltake Commander C3

MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti ( something around this level anyway still need to find one avalible)

ASRock X570 PG Velocita

Crucial 16GB Ballistix RGB DDR4 3600 MHz UDIMM(if i can find it, seems its out of stock now....fun)

Thanks,
~JumboJosh

I really like the NZXT PSU's, a little pricy but great quality. If youre looking for some cheaper PSU's. EVGA is the way to go but make sure they're certified!

As long as you get one from a reliable company (Corsair, EVGA, NZXT, Thermaltake, Phanteks ect) and company offers a warranty as well as RMA (in case it is DOA or dies) you should be fine. I have used EVGA in the past and personally I use a Segotep but Segotep isn't really well known so I can't recommend it (although it has worked fine for me)

Big nerd.
