Hi all - I use a qnap NAS to store backups of photos etc and wanted some advice on expectations around transfer speeds from that machine to my main PC. Both are wired to our router and have 1Gb jacks. The transfer rates I am getting are 11MB/S. I understand there is a conversion and don’t expect 1GB/S obviously but is this in the right ball park? If not what is the best way to identify which piece of the chain is slowing me down?

thanks for your help

Sounds like something is limited to 100Mbps because that's what 11MBps converts to. Can you check all the links and make sure they say 1.0Gbps and nothing says 100Mbps?
