My Vega 64 has a water block on it but has the original plastic backplate, the rear of the circuit board where the core is is open and I'm wondering if there's any point to mounting a 80mm fan to the rear of the card to cool this. Temp's aren't really a concern as the card never goes above 60c (140f) but it can't hurt right? Might be able to push OC a bit further is my thinking

I do this on my 2080ti

Core says 65 - 66*c, backplate FEELS like 70-80*c or so...

Added a 80mm fan, taking a little off the top.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
