Substitute to an old Razer mouse, what to pick?

Alexaldin

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my old Razer Ouroboros, the scroll wheel register some false input and scrolls up&down at random. It's pretty annoying when using websites, even worse on FPS or on MOBA. It served me well, after 8 years.

I'm thinking of buying a new mouse, and I'm happy with Razer. I looked a bit and found out that they don't make Ouroboros anymore, wich is pretty sad since it fits perfectly my hand since it's adjustable.

I saw the Deathadder, the Viper and the Basilisk. I have a pretty big hand (L=20cm - W=10cm) and palm grip.

I'm more oriented on the Basilisk, since it's pretty big and has the thumb rest, but there's so many variations and don't know what to choose.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I'm a big fanboy of the razer deathadder elite, but it really mattes what you are going to do with the mouse, are you going to do work, game or what?

Casual use, work and game. I pretty much do anything on my pc. The Ouroboros was perfect for me.

I have 2 mice both and both are Logitech using the same input USB adapter.

The first is a Logitech MX Vertical which cost me £100.

The Second is a Logitech MX Ergo Trackball that cost me £79.99.

The reason i have 2 mice is i have fibromyalgia and osteo arthritis throughout my body including my hands and limited space to use a mouse so the trackball comes in great here for this option.

It looks like Mad Catz makes mice that are comparable to the Razer Ouroboros. What mouse is better is pretty subjective, I'd try to go out to a local store that might have them and try them out. I beileve I have a similarly sized hand and the mamba elite is working out fairly well for me (a little small but still quite useable), the deathadder seems to be pretty similar to that. The Basilisk (new) lineup actually isn't that much larger if at all, but like you mentioned they have thumb rests.

The company Roccat makes the Kone Aimo (remastered) and It's a well-priced heavy ergonomic mouse. I purchased it to drag click and it's personally a little too heavy for me (and it's *slightly* too large), but it's an overall good-option with nice features and a decent look.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.
