Fps Capped at 10

Hello guys my laptop specs are

OS Windows 10 Home

Processor : I5-7300HQ Cpu @2.50Ghz

Memory :8192 MB Ram

Nvidia Geforce GTX1050ti 8gb

 

i have this problem where whenever i game at fullscreen with The settings of 1920x1080 and at fullscreeen i would get a fps capped at 10 , all games! even osu which doesnt require much, but when i play on borderless window 1600x900 i get at least 80-100fps . the fact that i could capitalize the fullscreen fps instead of borderless windowed. i tried searching but im the only one capped at 10fps when fullscreen

Try and disable your second monitor or make the second monitor the primary monitor.

Well you have an interesting issue I think.

 

You can change quite a bit of settings by using NVidia Inspector. You can change settings per application or globally. Maybe give that a try? 

 

Although I'm not exactly sure what you would need to change, but maybe something will stand out.

Alright will try to do some of the settings tweak later and maybe record or snap a picture of the issue

The First Picture is 80 Fps On Borderless windows 

Full Screen windowed 

9-10 fps

Ok, ok... try to undo all changes you made so far (not super important but might be better)

 

Then make sure the game is set to use them Nvidia gpu in Nvidia control panel. 

 

Then,  go to the exe of your game,  right click, properties, compatibility, check 'disable full screen optimizations'.

 

 

Then try to run your game again in full screen. 

 

 

IF that still didn't fix it do exactly the same as above, but additionally click on 'change high DPI settings' then click the box under 'overwrite high DPI scaling behavior'

 

 

(I didn't say check,  just click,  point is to change it from whatever it was originally set)

 

 

Then try play the game again...  if it's still not fixed then I dunno

sorry abit bust just checked in anything 1080p in game caps it at 10
