PC crashing I think it might be because of the monitors

So I have 3 different acer monitors all 1080p but one is 240hz another is 75hz and finally the last one is 60hz. I am running them off a vega 56. Almost everyday my computer crashes and all three screens go black any ideas?

Running a multi monitor setup like you have shouldn't be an issue.

 

Does your PC crash when only 1 monitor is connected?

When it crashes there is 3 monitors plugged in but it will crash when it is idle or I'm actively doing something. It never use to crash when I only had the dual setup

Try using the system with only a single monitor attached.

 

If it works fine with 1 or 2 monitors but not the 3rd then maybe your GPU is working too hard to drive the 3rd screen.

If that is the case then what would be a work around or what would be a solution?

That's the tricky one.

 

Assuming the GPU was designed to drive 3 screens then I would download a hardware monitoring tool like HWInfo and keep a close eye on your GPU temps. If you see them upwards of 80 - 100c before a crash then maybe you have a cooling issue.

 

You can set HWInfo to monitor and log to be review afterwards.

 

You might also have a PSU issue. 3 screens requires more juice so that could also be an issue.

 

Run your PC with a single screen until you are happy that its not a main box hardware or software issue then take it from there.

I do have one of the monitors using a display port to HDMI adapter rather than a hdmi to display port could that cause the issue?

I ran until it crashed no heat spike and I have a 750W PSU, all the other components are i7 7700k (not overclocked), 16 gb of 2400mhz ram, and asrock 270 board.
