Bios update FAILED. Pc stuck

Isakouf

Hi so my motherboard has dual bios option and it has just came today. I bought it online from someone it’s used

I was flashing new bios version in bios own interface of manufacturer GIGABYTE Q-Flash

i waited. Everything was ok.
then it said file failed to install restart the computer

and yeah. Now everytime I reboot computer just boots into a Dual bios protection screen where it copies the files from the backup bios  chip to the main bios chip which is corrupted

and it is basically stuck at 0% for two hours now. Owner tells me to wait don’t shut down the pc. I really really feel upset I doubt I can demand a refund on this please someone help me

mb ; gigabyte ga h61 ds2 rev4.0

You can shut it down. No bios update would take any longer than 10 minutes at most. When you reboot it and if it is not able to flash back I suspect the main bios chip is dead and needs replacing.

why cant you demand a refund? the computer does not work...

if you got it today then you definitely can get one. Where did you order it from?

bought it online. Demand a refund. ebay has great buyer protection if OP bought it from there

If you botch an BIOS update the moment you get a motherboard, it's kinda hard to prove the board was bad from the get-go.

If it was working (as it seems to have been in order to flash it) and then OP flashed it, then it wasn't the seller's fault.
