I'd like a PC to do my future work on. I'm not really sure what I'd like to do in life yet so I think I'd like to dabble in different things like game development, linux, cybersecurity, virtual machines, programming, IT stuff, etc. I won't really be doing any gaming and the games that I'd like to make are simple 2D ones.

After asking around I was informed that I don't need a discrete GPU since I won't be doing any gaming/crypto/heavy video editing so I should look for a CPU with integrated graphics. I been recommended the i7-10700K, the i9-10900K, and the i9-10850K. I have absolutely no idea which one to get. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Since you want something with an integrated GPu I wouldn't go for AMD. And since you only want to do light game dev and so on I don't really see any need for an i9 or maybe not even for an i7. Depending on your budget I would aim for an i5 maybe even 9. gen just like the i5-9600K. That should lower the costs and would probably be enough for your needs.

It's hard to recommend a CPU when you have no hard requirements and/or budget constraints. Any of these CPUs should do just fine, it mostly depends on how much money you want to spend. Though I would also take a look at AMD GPUs that end in a "G", because these also come with an integrated GPU (e.g. 4700G).

I'd just like to point out that some modern 2D games do make use of hardware acceleration and actually run on a 3D engine. Take "Ori and the Blind Forest" for example which is a 2D platformer in terms of controls, but makes use of hardware accelerated visual effects and actually includes some subtle 3D elements.
