PC Stuck in boot loop after bios update

TheOriginalGypsy

PC gets stuck in a boot loop, just started happening after updating the mobo bios. I cant revert it because I cant get anywhere other than the bios, and none of my drives that windows are installed on are detected by mobo, so I cant put them at top of boot order. Even before the boot loop issue, windows wasnt installing on my nvme drive and wouldnt even let me get into bios with sata drives connected.

System specs are:

Ryzen 7 3700x

32gb DDR4 3200 MHz ram

RTX 2080

Asus ROG STRIX B550-f Gaming

Bios version: 1805 (most recent bios update)

The board has a BIOS flashback button, so you don't need to access the BIOS to reflash it. Consult your user manual on how to perform a bios flashback via the button on your rear IO.

I tried using the flashback tool, and the bios didnt downgrade at all. I have no idea why either.

Did you rename the BIOS name on the thumb drive as needed? There should be a BIOSnamer in the zip folder when you download the BIOS.

Yeah, I did. I dont know how to tell if the bios updated without corrupting it or not though.

From your user manual: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX_B550-F_GAMING/E16609_ROG_STRIX_B550-F_GAMING_UM_WEB.pdf

Yes, I have done a bios flashback. But the bios stayed at the newest bios when I wanted to flashback to previous bios because I had less issues with the older version so far.
