Hi there, so I want to upgrade my pc and I'm thinking of getting a b450-f , Ryzen 3100 (for now) and Corsair valueselect 2x4gb ram. Those are the only components I'm upgrading. The reason for such parts is due to inflated prices of other parts and also I am a teen with not much money. I will upgrade to a 3700x later, and the ram is where my small issue is. I was thinking Corsair Vengeance 3600Mhz 2x8GB. However, the b450f can only take up to 3200mhz without pc. I am upgrading from an x8dti, Xeon x5660 and 32gb 1333mhz ram. Do you think I will see a big difference between 3200mhz and 3600mhz considering I am going from DDR3 1333mhz. Is it worth paying more for the motherboard and ram?

Oh, sorry I'm on phone, autocorrect.

I meant b450-f can only do 3200mhz without overclocking

Ah, ok.

Well, XMP/DOCP is basically overclocking.

My B350 board supports 3200 MT/s RAM only with overclocking.

I am running it at 3200 MT/s with no problem.

People have run 3600 MT/s RAM on B450 boards without too much trouble.

And besides - if 3600 MT/s doesn't work, it's not very hard to simply run it at 3200 MT/s instead. RAM isn't locked to it's rated speed.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

Ah ok, and is everything alright with my build in general? I will also have a 1060 6gb with it

Everything looks fine to me, I just have one question.

Do you already have the 1060 6GB? If not, how much are you paying for it?

these two builds would perform very similarly.

not a great motherboard.

i see you're from the uk. what's your budget for this upgrade? I can't seem to find a r3 3100 for a decent price anywhere.

Well right now I don't want to spend more than 220, and I can get all of these parts with bargaining for that much.

I would say this at the moment.

PCPartPicker Part List

However, if you can get the Ryzen 3 3100 for under £100, then I would go with this:
