audio only records to left side in shadowplay

i use shadowplay from time to time for school project {easy recording} along with its ability to clip in game with a push of a button 

as the title says it only records to my left side of my headphone. and when i share or upload the clip its the same

i stream on twitch and it records streams all fine through OBS Streamlabs both audio channels work 

just not in shadowplay

 

my audio setup is a akg p220 XLR mic paired with a scarlet 2i2 audio interface 

i had this issue with my old audio interface as well and am stumped

Bad cables?

Is all audio only going through the left side or just your microphone?

cables are fine. like i said in my post. i use it for other apps and it works fine

Go to control panel > sound > recording tab > select your microphone > properties > advanced tab > change the drop down from 2 channel to 1 channel and test. (assuming this is only recording your microphone in one ear and everything else in stereo)

just my microphone and only in shadowplay
