Well I was wanting a 4000 series but under 400

i also found a 5 3500u 8 GB ram 256gb ssd for 400

the 3500u is a better deal. Not only does it have double the storage and RAM, it also has a better cpu (the 3500u is a bit faster and has HT)

geometry is hard

Well userbenchmark isn't a good site but yes the 4300u does have better single core performance. BUT there is a big difference between 4 and 8 gb of ram. As in with 4 a system is just barely useable but with 8 all is fine so yeah a faster cpu with 4gb of ram is still going to suck compared to a older weaker one but with 8gb.

No dual channel

i will look for those you mentioned

Well

laptops with those processors were more expensive then what I wanted

Is there any laptop with touch screen/ 2 in one that has an additional memory slot?

I was looking at Asus Vivobook

is there one in my price?

Rn I just need to find a 2 in 1 for $400 good processor and 4gb ram upgradeable

4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD? Unless you are running a Windows 10 lite version, it will be a bit of a nightmare to run it as a daily driver

I've seen few Ryzen 3 laptops in eBay with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD in Europe, I'm pretty sure there are even more in the US

I still have my old ThinkPad T61p with Core 2 Duo T9500, 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. It works perfect without problem for office suite and Internet. I still use it during my travels.

Windows 10 lite, it's for a computer with 2GB or less. For information, I have Intel Compute Stick 2 with 2GB RAM, it runs Windows 10 Home 32-bit, it works perfect too.

2 in 1 in that range is not good, you won't have much storage, nor performance. Windows itself takes 4gb and at least 100gb with updates. the 128gb ssd will have 110gb most avaliable due to the formatting and parity check and other stuff required for the well usage of the drive.

Looking on neweeg you don't have any option about it:

So either you leave that ideia, sadly, or save a bit and buy something with more capacity.

Also for more storage you can take the 1tb hdd, though slower makes it cheaper and can improve on ram
