Does backplate require washers?

I'm currently installing Bykski water block onto my 3090 but instructions are not clear at all.

 

Do I install washers between PCB and Block and between PCB and backplate?

 

The stock backplate had no washers so I'm wondering.

2nd Loop: 5x 480mm XE CoolStream radiators with 1x Revo D5 RGB pump and 1x Rajintek Antila D5 Evo RGB pump for CPU only cooling with 2x Koolance QDC3, purple coolant

3x 360mm PE EKWB CoolStream 

3rd Loop: 1x 240mm PXE CoolStream radiator with 1x EKWB Revo D5 pump (RAM ONLY) - Back of the case

Which block? The Bykski manuals are indeed not great but you can figure them out given a minute of logical thinking.

It will just touch where the screwholes are since it has metal standoffs.

The simple rule is:

 

If touch conductive part

    Make it not touch conductive part (so use spacers)

If not touch conductive part

    All good

 

Really as simple as that 😛

The instructions don’t state if it does or doesn’t? Most factory plates don’t have washers, I only do it if I need to.

I managed to fix it. Got some laptop screws that are slightly longer and it worked a treat. Washers on each side of PCB.
