Did my PSU kill my motherboard?

LittleOrange

So back in November my 5 year old pc whenever I turned it on it would turn itself off and then on again getting stuck in an endless cycle. At the end, I found out it was the motherboard (ASUS z97 pro wi fi) that died. Yesterday I ordered a ryzen 5 3600, new mobo and new ram sticks, and doing some research I found out that my PSU corsair cx600 has a lot of complaints especially from people claiming it can kill an entire system. I personally never had an issue with my PSU before and in some repair shop, they told me that my PSU was fine. But after reading comments from people saying that it can kill your pc I gota bit scare and I don't want to rush it in buying a new PSU.

I gotta mention tho my pc specs were these:

gtx 1060 6gb

i5 4690k at 4.1ghz and 1.15v

asus z97 pro wifi

corsair cx600

and a 212 evo as a cpu cooler.

oh ok, thank you so much! I was freaking out a lot. lol. I do plan on upgrading my entire pc but I didn't want to put money right now on a new PSU that I won't be using on my next build.

I haven't seen any of those claims that were actually true.
