Your cooler is literally touching your GPU.

The heat from your CPU will leak into your GPU.

What were your CPU and GPU temps on the stock cooler, and what are they now with the D15?

Playing warzone with my stock cooler

My temps were 74-75 with gpu

And cpu were like 60+ something

Now my cpu temp is around 55+

And my gpu is 78+

I'd advise a 240mm AIO if you want a CPU cooler upgrade  (can mount in the top), but your stock cooler was doing fine - 60-65C is perfectly fine.

Where are your intake fans? Right now it looks like the rear is an intake fan and the new cpu cooler is taking up most of the air from the rear intake.

Im not quite sure

I checked with a tissue paper

And my front and rear sucks up air outside and my top fans blow out

Unless you're not fine with your lower CPU and higher GPU temps, then yes.

You can return your D15, too.

If you have 2 at the top for exhaust, I would just move one to the front for intake to point at the GPU.

  • 1 year later...

The fans are on backwards!!! You would have no air flow because your case fan is pulling against the cpu cooler fans and vice versa.  They should be pushing towards the rear of the case and out the back. Even if the fans are pointed the correct way in the position you have them, it wouldn’t be as effective trying to pull through the vents as it would be to push the air though from the far side.
