video editor

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

Depends on what you want to do and how much you know. Windows Photos has built-in editor feature. Then for low-skill there's Hitfilm Express. Or for skilled, Davinci Resolve. Or if you want to start at the deepest end, Blender VSE.

Davinci Resolve

I have tried Kdenlive before, just tried it for a little bit since I already used another video editor, but just wanted to check it out.
The GUI looks somewhat friendly and it looks like it can be quite powerful. There's also quite a lot of tutorials for it. Good for low end systems.
Although I don't think it supports 3rd party plugins though.

any free video editors for windows

Da Vinci Resolve would be the best option although it's has a steep learning curve, relatively speaking. At any cost, you could also try some of the free video editors that are available in the windows store. Personally, I used Movie Maker: Free Video Editor a long time ago, for clipping a movie clip and it worked as I wanted it to.

Everything depends on what you want to get out of your software.

For windows, you can find a large number of video editors. I would advise you to choose a video editor solely based on your goals and capabilities. Some video editors have amazing functionality, but they require serious processing power. However, I prefer programs like Movavi Video Editor Plus. It is a free software with diverse functionality and cool video effects.
