Raspberry Pi 3+ model b, poor performance

so i stopped using my rasp pi for like a year and when i launch any online game that literally only fucking needs a 1.1ghz celeron mobile cpu, because i have a chromebook from school, i find that "chromium" isnt up to date its like 10 versions ahead but i cant update for some reason, why, guessing because older pi 3 + model b, but still, like my pi used to rip through online games, the ones i tried to play, they aren't even 3d

Did you update the system? Chromium probalby needs to be updated with the rest of the system using apt update and apt upgrade.

i did that like 10 times in a row in matter of fact, but ill do again

If you haven’t used it in a while just check the sources are for Debian buster and not some older version. You can check by reading /etc/apt/sources.list.d/raspi.list (or similar files).

also i got like 10 errors when doing full upgrade

The simplest solution would be to just get the latest image of RPi OS and re-flash an SD card with it. Way simpler than trying to figure out what's wrong with your current system.
