CPU power cable too short

Cringe123
Go to solution Solved by Cringe123,

Sorry for making a post so long after it ending but i had to put this here. It turns out this case DOES have a hole for the cpu cable. If you put it through the hole before putting the motherboard in it's very easy to get it in no issues. (Just saying to let others know who may be thinking of using this case)

I recently bought a new psu and a bigger case. I was putting it all together and when I did the CPU cable it was too short to go in a nice place so theres this ugly annoying cable going across my whole mobo as it's the only way to plug it in. I have a Corsair Tx750m and I was wondering if theres any possible way to get a sort of extender for it. On the packaging it said no cable mods or cables that dont come with it or i lose my warranty.

well cable extenders are still a thing and wont void warranty. since cpu power cable is normnalised any high quality cpu power extender shoudl work.

that seems to be a longer cable (63cm) you have to measure how high your case is.

What case is this?

How much longer does the cable need to be?

So, the cable that comes with the TX-M is 650mm.  The individually sleeved cables are 750mm, but they're expensive:

It will probably be fine. I don't mind having it go across my mb but im just worried that with the new gpu it might become a problem as the new one will be longer so the cable wont have as much slack. I think it will be perfectly fine as it wont have to travel much further but I'd just rather it was better. This case for some reason has no good place to put the cpu cable. Kinda sucks

What you do is actually run the cable under the motherboard.  The stand-offs provide enough height for the cable to run underneath.

Unscrew the motherboard, feed the cable behind it, feed it up to the top, plug it in and put the screws back in.

You should NOT be running the cable the way you're running it.

Is that ok for it to be touching the back of the MB ? Also does that mean I have to take my gpu and all my cables out ?

Also I'm not sure if there is actually enough space. Are you sure?

I looked at the case on amazon and some people said that they also had the cable doing what I had it doing.

@Cringe123option 2 is the best. You can hid it a bit with the heatsink there and will look the cleanest overall.
