M2 remapping

So I just got 2 970 evo plus and I went to put them in raid 0 on my msi z270 pro carbon MB and what I thought was a smooth install... wasn’t lol, I noticed that both of the ssds said remapping and have not given any S/N or product info and I have no clue what to do any advice ?

Where do the drive say remapping? Its pretty normal to not see disk info when disks are in a raid array.

Under the memory section of my bios where is says M1&M2

And if I benchmark them I’m pulling anything over 3500 read and 3400 write on Samsung magician

Yea you won't get faster sequential speeds due to how both drives have to do over the dmi.

Not trying to sound completely dumb but what is dmi, and is it pointless to have 2 in raid

DMI is the link that connects the cpu to the chipset. Since both of the ssds are connected to the chipset, there limited to a max of gen 3 x4 speeds. 

 

You get higher high queue depth iops, but that won't matter for most desktop use cases. Your almost always better off getting a single faster drive.
