SD vs HD in Google Play?

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

It's personal preference really.

Personally, I'd go for the HD version. But it really depends on how much the resolution bothers you and how much a few dollars is worth to you.

Hi! So I want to buy some seasons of one of my favourite tv shows which I rewatch from time to time, but I am wondering should I save a buck and buy SD(which I really want to) or play it safe and buy HD? I fear that if I buy SD I am not gonna like the quality but I am gonna watch on my phone and my 15.6 inch laptop-that's probably the biggest screen I will watch on. However I watched a comparison between SD and HD on my phone and HD looked so much crisper even on a smaller screen, but I don't know if this comparison is accurate. What do you think? Will I notice a difference on the screens I said I would watch on?

would want to go HD for an experience, if old show with known lesser quality then SD might do fine.

Also if you are going to watch on TV or not. I would have my issues with google play/movies, as they are really annoying, countries have their own versions (like their countries audio or the original buyed seperately), subtitles and language is mixed over various versions. Price not always being that great (unless you want to rent), but at least better than some other platforms when it comes to content. some due to being on the google service already at some point, than something like amazon and so on. Streaming could be better too, were I have a better experience with steam streaming of videos/series than google in some areas... :U
