Any other wireless suggestions that are near or better would be appreciated. Wanna to keep the price around $200 USD.

If you don't need wireless. I suggest looking into the Fidelio X2HR with a vmoda boom pro. If you want a mic that is... Vmoda boom pro is a mic/cable hybrid which goes with the headphones to make a headset. These are open back, meaning they leak sound but creates an awesome immersive experience, especially for single player games. They have one of the biggest soundstages out there for the price. The bass is punchy and not too boomy, the mids are balanced and the highs are brighter giving more "sparkle" to the songs or locating footsteps easier.

I need an upgrade from my HyperX cloud II I have used for 5 years now.

Looking at these right now was wondering which would be better if either has any key differences. Sound only no mic needed, I have a quadcast for that. Games are most important single player story driven, occasionally multiplayer such as Warzone, COD. I just trying to find anew headset that gives me the best audio I can get for the money.

Headsets are:

Steelseries Arctis 7

HyperX Cloud II wireless

Any other wireless suggestions that are near or better would be appreciated. Wanna to keep the price around $200 USD.

For 200usd you can get the meze 99 neo's or if you go to drop the 99 classics. There nice and thump so they would be good for gunshot sounds in fps games and would also be great for listening to music. Another upside is that there super easy to drive so you wont need an amp or dac.

Well I just been looking at those two for a couple weeks now. I'll look into those though.

Would like to keep it wireless if possible. As for the cloud II wireless I hope the ear cushions are better than the wired version.

However those Fidelio X2HR's look awesome. HUGE ear cushions, main thing is comfortable and sound of course. Open backs are fine with me, I wear gaming glasses sometimes so might be better for not crushing them as my clouds did.

Thank you all for your help & suggestions.

Steelseries just keeps getting me with their "award winning gaming headset" must be the gaming gimmick, but yes I'm really thinking them Fidelio X2HR's and sacrificing wireless.

You seem to get it! Gj. And yes, it is a gimmick. The design, mic and software implementation is just awful IMO. Sound is mediocre at best on all their headsets probably. The X2's offer so much more for just 150 euros approximately. You can always get a DAC/amp combo in the future to get even more out of them. Not like they NEED an amp to get loudness out of them but you can miss out on some quality when not amped properly. A DAC will also help clean up any interference inside your PC.

Yeah, memory foam sold me there so I know they'll be comfortable as well. I get a DAC now just in case and the amp later on. Thank you. Probably saved me money too. 🙂

A DAC will not be very good without an amp. You need both in order to achieve sound properly. Get something like the Sound Blaster G5 or G3 for a more portable/budget version.
