Question about semi-modular PSU

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Yup, both can be used for GPU or CPU

Hi, today I changed my non modular PSU to a semi-modular one, which is Corsair TX650M. I needed to attach the GPU cable to it so I plugged it into top right socket and I was curious, if the bottom right socket was also a possible choice or is it for the other CPU? I will attach a photo from Corsair website.

Yeah this confuses the hell out of me too... so you can either choose to have a really powerful cpu that needs an *extra* cable(why?) *or* an average good GPU that needs*two* pci-e cables?

How does that make sense... ie why is the pci-e slot labeled cpu? is that really an option?

The direction tells you... the direction
