I have an X570 Asrock Extreme4  motherboard and a Ryzen 5 3600.  It doesn't seems like I need to power the 8+4 to use that cpu but I have read conflicting things online.  Won't be overclocking as of right now.  Just looking for some advice.  Thanks!

You don't need the extra 4 pin, but why such an expensive motherboard for a 3600?

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

I'm planning to get an X570-E for my 3600.

But then I'm also planning to get a 5900X.

He could be planning to do the same thing.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

Even the 8-pin EPS is plenty.

The 8-pin connector can supply up to 384W to the CPU.

No way the Ryzen 3600 will use remotely close to 384W.

The extra 4-pin is only really needed / used during extreme overclocking (e.g. Dry Ice, Liquid Nitrogen, Phase Change cooling, etc).

At not with a Ryzen 3600....more like a Ryzen 3950X.

@Brok3n But who cares? I got a really good deal that included the PSU and 16gb ram with the motherboard and a separate good deal on the 3600.
