Can I use the Stock cooler on i5 10400?

I got the i5 10400 and there is no budget anymore, so my question is if it's ok to use the stock cooler for about a month or should I wait and install the cpu when I get a new cooler?

As much as everyone on the internet loves to shit on stock coolers, they are perfectly sufficient for lower-wattage parts like that i5. They may not keep it exceptionally cool or quiet, but they'll work. Go for it.

Should work just fine.

Do you really think that manufacturers would have sent out those coolers if they weren't suitable? They work fine and in most cases even give you a decent overclocking headroom (if you have a suitable CPU).

I really don't know why you're talking about overclocking when OP is asking about the stock cooler for an intel product lol 

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Yes, the stock cooler for i5-10400f is suitable. Your cpu might run a little toasty, and might not look the best, but It should absolutely be fine. Usually for a 10400 build I'd actually reccomend the stock cooler most of the time.

Yeah like overclocking is not possible on intel. Whole point was to tell that it even has enough thermal headroom for overclocking when it was possible, which is not possible in OPs case because of CPU choice.

I never said It wasn't possible. If a intel CPU ships with a stock cooler, It can't overclock, which is what I was saying
