Low and inconsistent FPS in borderlands 3 please help!

tpoar

Hey guys I'm having issues running borderlands 3 I have a i5 2500k, gtx 1050 super, 12gb ram and its running on an ssd. I know it's not the most powerful pc but I'm running on very low settings 1080p and the frame rate struggles to stay at 60 its constantly dropping to around 20 and as low as 1 for short periods. I have tried  clean installation of windows and the game but no difference in game play. Cpu temps are also fine. Is it just my cpu is too old or can you think of anything else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

It's 3x 4gb sticks I had 4 but one died so two are in dual channel and one in single. Would that be causing an issue?

I feared as much. To upgrade my cpu now from an aged platform means a new motherboard and ddr4 ram added onto the cpu cost 😅 time to get saving I guess.

Thanks for taking the time to reply much appreciated
