Having Stutters in some games Like Fortnite and CSGO

kladimor

GeForce GTX 970

i7 4770K

16GB ddr4

750W PSU

Lately i have gotten a new pc with some okay specs and i was surprised to see it perform so well as the specs are mid spec, i was getting 120+ fps Doom Eternal Low 200+ Fortnite Low Csgo 250-300+

But after the new driver that Nvidia Published, i booted up a game of Fortnite and my game would stutter (go from 200 fps to 58 then back to 200) Later this week i ran Doom Eternal and was getting lower frames than usual 80+ frames even on low. then i loaded up csgo which seemed fine and stutters every 15 seconds. I do not know what i did and I'm heartbroken on why I cant enjoy my games anymore. Apex Legends runs at 100 stable frames and i dont know why that game isnt even affected. I even reverted to my old driver and still wouldn't work

If someone can figure out the problem I would be so happy.

Ddu the drivers and reinstall the old ones.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Probably just got a bad driver install. Run DDU and either reinstall the current drivers or reinstall the previous known working driver that should fix your problem.

I have had stutters in fortnite too, so that could just be a game problem.

Is your boot drive a hard drive or an SSD?

Try the new version. it might be that the games are optimized for the new driver and it was a bad install the first time around

Hmmm would make more sense on a hard drive but it is possible the SSD has a bad sector that messed up the windows install. Did you do a fresh install of windows or was the drive carried over from another machine with different components?

It will, that's the integrated graphics in the 4770k. You can also try running DDU and removing those drivers if they're somehow the ones that corrupted and are interfering with the Nvidia drivers

OK, have you tried validating game files to see if maybe drivers weren't the problem?
